Eighteen-year-old Roanne is all the way from Sydney, Australia. She started her singing career at the age of thirteen by winning the NSW State Championships Scholarship at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. She embarked on furthering her career by studying acting at the Actor's Center, and training dancing at the Sydney Dance Company and Bodenweiser Dance Studios. She performed before His Royal Highness Prince Edward at the Sydney Entertainment Centre with Olivia Newton-John and Peter Allen. As well as performing in numerous television shows, she has been awarded Outstanding Talent of the Year from 1989-92 by Australia's Young Achievers' Awards, sponsored by Channel 10. Being an ex-model, she decided to channel her hard work and dedication to musical theatre by making her debut in the Australian production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's The King and I touring five capital cities. She played and understudied the principal role of Princess Tuptim. Roanne's major hobby is songwriting and she has been writing songs for the soul and pop genre since the age of fifteen. She has a strong spiritual background and believes all her talents come from God. "He taught me how to sing from my heart," she says. Being capable of going to university and studying law, she is not sure whether she will be able to pursue that part of her plans as "Things are a little too exciting at the moment," she says.
