Born in Stockholm, Sweden, Peter has performed extensively on stage, television, and film, and an extensive recording career has established Peter as one of Sweden's most respected and prolific performers. Most recently he created the role of Robert in Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulveaus new epic musical "Kristina from Duvemala." Peter's recording of "Guldet blev till Sand" from the show has been the number one choice in the Swedish Top Ten and the original cast album has the honour of being nominated for a 1997 Swedish Grammy Award. Peter made his professional debut in Sweden at the age of ten as Kurt von Trapp in The Sound of Music. Other stage work includes creating the role of Nick Piazza in the original production of Fame in Stockholm for which he was nominated for a Swedish Golden Mask Award for Best Actor in a Musical, Teen Angel in Grease, Tony in West Side Story, Gray in The Jungle Book, and the lead role in the Swedish National Tour of Musical Express Parts 1 & 2. Other appearences include Ben in Here and Now, Astohof in Cavalry Maiden and Lollo in Mio my Mio. Peter is a regular performer on Swedish Television, having appeared as the lead in the Swedish Music Awards and A Tribute to the Movies for Channel 4/TV 1000 and Lordy Bacharach in Pop-I-Topp. On film Peter was the voice of Aladdin for the Swedish release of the Disney animated classic. Peter is a accomplished musician, having composed with his brother Mikael his debut album "Peter Jöback" for Sony Records. Peter is thrilled to be making his West End debut as Chris in Miss Saigon.
