Melissa Thomson

Ellen (Toronto)

Melissa Thomson is a native Torontonian who comes to Miss Saigon directly from Les Miserables, in which she made her professional debut in May, 1992. Although Melissa will always remember her experience as an ensemble member and the Eponine/Cosette understudy in Les Miserables with great sentiment, she is absolutely thrilled to be a part of the Canadian premiere of Miss Saigon. Her interest in music began at a young age while singing in her church choir. From there, she went on to study at the Royal Conservatory of Music and has since appeared in a variety of musical theatre productions, industrial trade shows and musical revues. Her most memorable theatre credits include leading roles in A Chorus Line, Annie, The Wiz and Baby. Melissa still maintains that her plans to complete her degree in political science are simply postponed for yet another year.
