Mark O'Malley

Chris (London)

Mark is from Glasgow where he originally trained for three years to become a nurse. While training he attended an open audition for Les Miserables and joined the UK touring production playing Feuilly. He covered and played the role of Enjolras in Manchester and later took over the leading role of Marius at the Edinburgh Playhouse. Among many concert and charity performances Mark played Charlie Brown in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown at the Oldham Coliseum, Mr. Lollipop in the musical of the same name at the Paisley Theatre, Johnny in Fascination Waltz at the Glasgow Ramshorn with the Strathclyde Theatre Group. Mark also recently played Simon Zealotes in a concert version of Jesus Christ Superstar in London. TV credits include performing music from Miss Saigon on GMTV in December 1994 for the celebration of Miss Saigon's record-breaking run in the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane and Children in Need in Manchester, performing an extract from Les Miserables. Mark's recordings include Listen, which features songs he has written and which were performed with the Anawim Music Ministry. Mark made his West End debut by joining the cast of Miss Saigon in 1994, and is delighted to be part of this great show in the role of Chris. Mark would like to thank a lot of people for their help and encouragement in his career and especially Andy Boyle - "Cheers, mate!" - his sister Wilma for her continual good humor and support, and, finally, Ally - "God bless ya!"
