Junix Inocian

Junix Inocian graduated from Silliman University in the Philippines with a Bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts and subsequently trained with Mary Hutchinson, an acting coach from Syracuse University, New York, and with Paul Palmore, an acting coach from the University of Michigan. In 1978 Junix joined Repertory Philippines where he appeared in sixty productions. His stage credits include Audrey 2 in Little Shop of Horrors, Father Tim Farley in Mass Appeal, Sancho in Man of La Mancha, The Mayor in The Government Inspector, Major-General Stanley in The Pirates of Penzance, Pseudolus in A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, Tevye in Fiddler On The Roof, Sweeney Todd in Sweeney Todd the Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and James Leeds in Children of a Lesser God. On television he appeared as Kuya Mario in Sesame, the Filipino version of Sesame Street, Atorni in Sitak Ni Jack (Jack's Taxicab), a top-rated sitcom, Evelio Javier in A Dangerous Life, a six-hour documentary series based on the 1985 revolution in the Philippines, shown on LWT in 1989. His film work includes Polo Makena in Silk and Fernando in Greed. In 1988 Junix was chosen to be part of the original cast of Miss Saigon, and from 1992 to 1994 he played the lead role of The Engineer. He returns to Miss Saigon from playing Old Deuteronomy in Cats at the New London Theatre.
