Herman Sebek

Herman Sebek began his career in theatre while earning a B.F.A. from Juilliard. Broadway credits include West Side Story (revival, international tour), Song & Dance (and national tour) and the original casts of Shogun and Cats, where he went on to perform a Mr. Mistoffolees. Other credits: Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar and the TV pilot of "Fame." Herman was a finalist in the Gindhart Piano Competition wit the Trenton Symphony and has been writing, composing and recording since his youth. He is a past participant in the ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshop and a member of The Dramatists Guild. Presently, he is co-writing, with his friend and colleague Dayle Ann Hunt, a series of original musicals, designed to expose inner-city youths to the arts and to educate them about the environment. The Long Lost Land of Color, the first in a series, will be presented by Youth Spotlight in North Carolina in April. Herman dedicates this performance to the loving memory of his father, J. Wladimir Sebek.
