Gavin studied musical theatre at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). In 1993 he joined the production of South Pacific, touring Australia and Hong Kong in the role of the Professor. He played the title role in Aladdin for Disney Live and has sung with the Western Australian Opera Company, The Australian Opera, The Western Australian Music Theatre Company and formed Acapella groups Five and Confined Quartels. He created the role of Maurie in Robyn Archer's new Australian musical The Bridge. Gavin is an energetic young man with skills in acrobatics and dance and is the founder and co-director of Dramatic Impact, a 'rights' agency for issue-based youth theatre. On his days off he can often be found clambering over cliffs, paddling down rivers or taking on some new challenge in Australia's outdoors. Gavin was last seen in the production of Hello Dolly.
