The Engineer (Broadway)

Francis Ruivivar recently received a 1991 Theatre World Award for his performance as Lord Toranaga in Shogun The Musical. Other Broadway credits include Chess (original cast) and Starlight Express. Mr. Ruivivar recently spent a year with the national tour of Cats as Old Deuteronomy, and portrayed Agamemmnon in Iphigenia at the Huntington Theatre in Boston. Other credits include the King in The King and I at the Bonfils-Stanton Center in Denver, Peter in Jesus Christ Superstar with Theater Under the Stars in Houston, the Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz at Music Theatre of Wichita, the Wacky Brazilian in Hoffmann's La Vie Parisienne with New England Lyric Operetta, Butterfly, the rock musical at the Norma Terris Theatre at Goodspeed and the international tour of Evita. Television appearances include Kate and Allie and The Dictator. Mr. Ruivivar, originally from Hawaii of Filipino/Chinese descent, graduated from Loretto Heights College in Denver. Many thanks to his family and friends for their love and support but most importantly to his wife Catherine for being everything.
